Don't Lose Out

I know you’ve heard the cliché saying, “Life is what you make it”. I’ve heard it numerous times, and lately I’ve been really putting some thought into its meaning. We’ve each been given the gift of life, and with that gift we have the free will to essentially design our destinies and follow our heart’s bliss. Yet so many people don’t. So many people settle for average.
They are content with doing the “normal” and they forgo their passions and therefore lose that part of them that is most authentic. Never to realize what their most authentic selves could’ve accomplished. Why is that? Why is that we often sacrifice our dreams, our God given purposes to only live a life that is safe and typical? The answer is so simple yet inherently complex that its crazy. The answer is fear. Fear and all of its many forms/consequences is why so many opt out of their dreams. What’s even crazier is that I can almost guarantee a good portion of those people opt out unknowingly. Subconsciously they’ve been programed to take the path that’s safe with minimal risk. But what is it that we fear? Isn’t it an oxymoron to say we fear success when success is what we are seeking? It sounds like one to me. But fear is so manipulative and conniving that you really have to heighten your awareness to even be able to recognize it.  It’s fear that disguises itself in such a way that it tries to tell you that you are not deserving or that your dreams are not possible for you. It’s fear that causes you to procrastinate and find excuses as its disguised as not having time. That fear is just a resistance that you have to push through. Yes, it is a lot easier said than done. Hence why many people are okay with accepting what is seemingly accessible to them. But you don’t have to be one of those people.  If you have a passion but you feel lost and you feel as if you don’t know exactly where to start, or you have no idea what direction you are going in, I am telling you to push through. Shake your anxiety and just do. Don’t think about it to long. Just act and have no regret. It’s going to be hard. Trust me, I’m preaching to myself on this one. But I believe, and I know it’s going to be worth it. Don’t let your thoughts, or the opinions/judgments of others hold you back. You are deserving. Remember you can only receive what you believe you can have. It’s within your reach. Just take a deep breath. Hold to your faith, and reach out and grab it. It’s yours.

With Love,

Christina
